Welcome to Tasks Sync ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclosure, and safeguard your information when you visit our application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for the Application, specifically:
- Account Information: Your Google email address and profile information provided via Google Sign-In.
- Integration Data: Access tokens for Google Tasks and Notion (stored securely).
- Task Data: We process your task titles, dates, and statuses to perform synchronization. We do not store your task content permanently; it is only processed in transit between Google and Notion.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain simple two-way synchronization between Google Tasks and Notion.
- Authenticate you and manage your user session.
- Send you related information, including confirmations and technical notices.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Google User Data
We are committed to establishing trust with our users regarding their data. Strictly adhering to Google's Limited Use Policy:
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Google user data to outside parties.
- No Third-Party AI Sharing: We do not share your Google user data with third-party AI tools or models.
- Transfer for Synchronization: Data is transferred to Notion APIs solely for the purpose of fulfilling the functionality of the application (two-way synchronization).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the security of your personal information.
- Encryption at Rest: All sensitive data, including access tokens and refresh tokens, are encrypted using industry-standard encryption (AES-256) before being stored in our database.
- Secure Transmission: All data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and third-party services (Google, Notion) is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL protocols.
- Access Control: Access to production data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and is monitored.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
- Google User Data (Tasks): We do not permanently store your Google Tasks data (task titles, notes, dates) on our servers. This data is processed in real-time for synchronization and is not retained after the sync operation is complete.
- Access Tokens: OAuth tokens are retained as long as you continue to use the service to maintain the connection between platforms.
- Deletion: You can instantly delete all your data and access tokens by using the "Revoke All Data & Sign Out" button located at the bottom of the configuration page. Alternatively, you may request the deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at lab@afaustov.org. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently remove all your data, including access tokens, from our systems within 7 days. You can also revoke our access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
7. Third-Party Services
Our application integrates with third-party services (Google and Notion). Please review their privacy policies to understand how they handle your data.
Tasks Sync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
